In this episode of Relocation, Relocation, Phil heads north to catch up with Dan and Tracy Lunnon-Wood.
Dan and Tracy had been married for three years but, despite hundreds of hours searching, countless offers and thousands spent on surveys, they were still scouring the north of Scotland for their first ever home together.

And house hunting wasn't the only extreme element to their lives. Dan worked for the RAF in Wales, while Tracy was a child psychologist at Great Ormond Street hospital in London: two great jobs, but in totally different parts of the country.
Most people would arrange to meet up halfway, but every weekend these two undertook an epic commute to Dan's parents' house in the north east of Scotland. With the joint round-trip coming in at over 2,000 miles, something had to change, and fast.
Their £310,000 budget included £250,000 for a family home and £60,000 for a canny investment flat in the area - and it was up to Phil and Kirstie to tackle the tough Scottish property system head-on.
There were highs - when Phil went all Top Gun, trying out the death slide at Dan's RAF base - and lows when, once again, Dan and Tracy were outbid on a dream property.
But with Phil and Kirstie's guidance they regrouped and managed to buy a farm building in need of a lot of renovation. They could get everything they wanted; they'd just have to do the work themselves.
Two years later this pair's lifestyle has changed beyond recognition. Phil hears all about life without the commute, gets a look at the new additions to their home and finds out if their investment has weathered the property storm.
