Phil and Kirstie tackle their biggest search area ever when they scour an entire country seeking out a whole new way of life for two would-be hoteliers.
Christine and Keith Bettis have given up everything they know to chase their dream of running a hotel, somewhere, anywhere in Scotland.
They're new to the game, but Christine's been doing her homework, spending the last two years living away from Keith in a range of hotels while learning the ropes in preparation for their new venture. Now Keith has moved north and the two of them are living in a hotel room, waiting to start living the dream for real. It's Phil and Kirstie's job to find a hotel that combines business potential and a family home.
Christine and Keith are completely flexible about location, leaving Phil and Kirstie with free range across the whole of Scotland. But that means the search area is well over 30,000 square miles.
The Search
For their £850,000 Christine and Keith want a 10 to 15 bedroom hotel, preferably in a rural setting. It should be in the traditional shooting lodge style with as many open fires as possible. And they don't mind doing a bit of work, as long as it keeps within their budget.
They also have to live where they work, so comfortable owners' accommodation is a high priority.
But Kirstie and Phil's first hurdle is the search area. It's pretty much the whole of Scotland! Can they pull off the ultimate needle in a haystack search and find these two their dream double property?
