The family. Relocation, Relocation: London & Harrogate

In this episode of Relocation, Relocation, Kirstie revisits some old friends, 18 months after she and Phil helped them leave behind the traffic and noise of London.

With a young family, Johnny and Lynsay Davies needed a family home, and had their hearts set on being back near Lynsay's family in Harrogate.

Kirstie quickly spotted that Lynsay was after the fairytale; just like Goldilocks, one house was too small, one too big and it seemed they would never find one that was just right.

But Kirstie and Phil love a challenge and they hoped Johnny and Lynsay would too! They found a place that could be wonderful, with a bit of work.

But Johnny's high-flying job meant he also needed a central London crash pad: on a budget of just £200,000.

A look at some tiny studio flats showed them the compromise they would have to make for the dream location, and drove them a little further north, where Phil delivered more crashpad for their cash.

Watch in horror as Phil shows Lynsay and Johnny around one of the smallest flats ever featured on Relocation, Relocation...

With two offers accepted, they just needed to move in; Kirstie went along to help, and knock down some walls.

Eighteen months later Kirstie returns to see the fruits of her labour. Is the family home all they'd hoped for? Has their new lifestyle been worth the trouble? Did Lynsay keep the renovations on track? And is everything "just right" at last?

  3. Hi, I watched a repeat episode of Relocation Relocation yesterday (from 2004 I think), where a single white male moved from his one bedroom London apartment to a seaside Margate house with 10 bedrooms, and bought a 1 bed flat in greater London which he now rents out. During the show they filmed his art and I absolutely fell in love with it, they were paintings and he sold them at his local art gallery in Margate. Please could you forward his name and the name of the gallery, as I would like to purchase a piece. Thanks for your time. Samantha

  4. In this episode, I was very curious about the piece hanging from the ceiling that Kirstie knocked down the wall for. What was its purpose in the original home? Thanks! Love the show
