A couple of years have passed since Kirstie and Phil helped Ady and Andrea escape the London suburbs and get back to the bosom of the family in Lancashire. Eighteen months later, Phil's been back for a visit.

Ultra-organised Ady and Andrea Guthrie wanted to escape the stresses and strains of the capital and live the good life in the Lancashire countryside. But could Kirstie and Phil broaden their conservative tastes beyond identikit housing estate boxes and into true rural bliss?
Ady had had the chance to move his job to Preston, an opportunity that also promised to make his horrible two-hour London commute a thing of the past - and Andrea, who runs a website selling baby furniture, wanted to extend the business into setting up a shop. They had a budget of £450,000 to buy a four- to five-bedroom house in a scenic location, that was in good condition (ie no DIY), and were prepared to spend £25,000 per annum on the shop.
This super-organised pair had a five-year plan, a list for everything, and a clear idea of what they wanted - but all it took was a few viewings for lists to go out the window. Then Ady got hung up on the practicalities and was determined not to do any work on a house. Meanwhile, Andrea listened to her heart - and even tried painting Ady a picture of a little toddler welcoming daddy home from work. It certainly got Kirstie emotional - but with Ady unmoved, the search kept on going.
Did they both get what they wanted, or did they let the right house get away?
