Presented by Janet Ellis, Chris Beardshaw and three other gardening experts, The Great Garden Challenge showcased the very best garden designers in Britain. Amongst the walled gardens of Blenheim Palace, a huge blank canvas awaited an eager group of both amateur and professional designers. Every day they went head to head as they each completed a 25-metre square show garden
With just three days from start to finish, the show's prestigious teams of gardeners judged each week's winner, deciding who would proceed in the competition and go through to the quarter and semi-finals - and ultimately the Grand Final.
Along with the excitement of the competition, the programme was packed with garden information and useful tips.
Over 15 weeks, more than 100 small gardens were built as gardeners battled it out for the coveted title. Eventually, the public had the final vote and appointed Chloe Murphy and Sadie Stowell the winners of The Great Garden Challenge.
