With a degree in English literature and a post grad in journalism, Jac started her career as a journalist for BBC radio. Tempted by the potential of being a fashion model, Jac relinquished this career to study Landscape Design, setting herself up as a designer, consultant, then in her own company, Flower Design, in 1991.
Domestic and civil projects plus a redevelopment of extensive formal gardens at Lord Newborough's estate in Shropshire, have kept her busy.
Jac has also appeared as presenter for Channel Five's Instant Gardens, as designer and co- presenter on BBC1's Garden Invaders and Garden SOS and, most recently, Channel 4's live gardening show, The Great Garden Challenge. She also regularly contributes to BBC radio.
On top of her journalistic work, Jac is well known within the profession as Landscape Judge for various housing association competitions and the annual 'What House?' awards, the 'Oscars' of the building industry, which she has judged for the last five years.
