Ann-Marie qualified with a Distinction in the National Certificate in Horticultural Landscape Studies and Garden Design in 1995 from London’s Capel Manor. During her course at Capel Manor she chose to take an extra City & Guilds examination in Construction (Landscape and Garden) in which she excelled.
Her first appearance as a gardening presenter was on Channel Four's Garden Doctors in 1998. Since then Ann-Marie has presented - amongst many other garden shows - Garden SOS, Real Gardens and Lost Gardens with Monty Don. In 2005 she presented The Great Garden Challenge on Channel 4.
Her first book, Hardscape - Hard Landscaping For The Garden, explores the use of hard landscape materials, whilst Urban Gardens showcases a diverse portfolio of her city garden solutions. She also regularly writes for Guardian Weekend, Amateur Gardening, Prima, Ideal Home, Your Garden, The Observer, The Glasgow Herald and Home Flair magazines, and contributes to Crocus.co.uk and the Lifestyle Internet magazine Handbag.com.
On top of all this, Ann-Marie also juggles a successful London based garden design practice; her gardens include rural and urban, and clients include Elton John and Lennox Lewis.
