A Place In Greece followed Coventry couple Brian Saunders and Andrew Sutton as they pursued their dream of building their very own home in Greece.

Finances were tight, so to help get the project off the ground they entered into a partnership with friends Peter and Lesley Cardy, who were also keen to have a place abroad.

Viewers followed the trials and tribulations of the foursome as they travelled to Greece in search for the ideal location.

After a disastrous run of tumbledown barns, views of power pylons and lumpy lunar landscapes they finally found a plot with a view, but other developments soon threatened to break both friendships and bank balances.

When the men announced they were planning to move in permanently, Pete and Lesley were ready to pull out

And the team still faced infuriated developers, expanding properties, financial ruin and the odd very cross cockerel before they realised their dream.

  1. What has happened to Brian & Andrew's website? The link on the Channel 4 website doesn't work - trying it just produces the error message that the site or page is unavailable.

  3. we used to love "a place in Greece", partly for the beautiful island and partly because it was the funniest thing on tv. We went there in 2007 and 2008 and saw Brian and Andrew in Almyrida (west Crete) - they had opened a fish and chip shop on the beach! We even saw Pete and Lesley in there so they are obviously still friends, amazingly! we loved "a place in Slovakia" as well.
