We're in pricey Guildford this week searching for a family home for £480,000 and a starter home on a budget of just £250,000.
As usual this week we've got two sets of househunters with very different briefs and budgets.
Surrey is a great place to raise a family and commute to the city, but this is no secret and as a result house prices are sky high. In fact, if you're looking for prime commuter belt outside of the capital then you'll struggle to find better than Guildford and Godalming, but you're going to have to pay for it.

Technical director Ben and HR manager Sophie have been paired with Phil to try and hit the jackpot on a family home for under £480,000 for their soon-to-arrive new baby. It's due in 12 weeks, meaning Phil will be up against it to find them a new home away from the grime and smog of the city before this couple becomes a family.
Godalming is their chosen location, but good schools, fast trains to London and property bling make Godalming one of the prime property hotspots in the country.
The couple's eight month search has so far yielded nothing. Even with £480,000 to blow, Phil will be hard pushed to find a house that meets both their brief and their budget.

IT consultant Glen and dance teacher Rachel have got a smaller budget of £250,000, and want a house in the more affordable nearby town of Guildford. Eight months ago they sold their flats and moved in with their respective folks 150 miles apart. Househunting has become impossible because both of these two are so far from their search area.
It's Kirstie's job to find somewhere so that this once happy couple can see each other for more than just the weekends.
And there's even more at stake - Glen and Rachel are planning to get married, but until they find a new house there'll be no wedding bells. Cue matchmaking property goddess Kirstie Allsopp to kick-start this search and find the house of their dreams.
