  1. Hi there - I absolutely loved your Christmas Special and I have my own soap shop in the Lake District(in Keswick to be precise)called EDEN I make at least 40 different melt and pour soaps and also do a lot of sewing (cushions, toilet bags tissue covers, fragrant hangers etc.) with pretty florals and felts. I would absolutely love to take part in your show and - of course meet Kirstie. You can also check out my website at:- www.edenluxuries.co.uk

  2. I loved Kirstie's Homemade Home and Christmas. I have been regular at Car Boots, charity shops, Antiques fairs and Reclaimation Yards for many years now, but watching both of her series, Kirstie has inspired me all over again to go out and find beautifull and individual items for my home. I really loved what she did with Meadowgate, the transformation was wonderful. More please, and if you need a helper, Kirstie, for your next series, look no further. Great, well done.

  3. I loved the series of Kirstie's Homemade Home and Christmas. I am already a regular shopper at antique markets, charity shops and car boot sales. I look for individual items to personalise my home, not a mass produced/market look from the high street. We need more great shows like this one and we love Kirstie and her enthusiasum. Well done, Channel 4, hope there is more in the New Year. Merry Christmas!

  4. I so loved Kirsty's show and got inspired enough to make my 5 month old daughter a Christmas stocking like the one Kirsty made. This will be her first Christmas and each year in the future i'm going to sew something different onto the stocking to add to it's charm! Thanks Channel4 for producing something so delightful to watch!

  6. Kirstie, you are an absolute gem, your programmes are number one in my home. I used to live in your part of England and get quite homesick watching your show. You are truly inspirational. You and Phil are a great pair on the home market, keep up the good work and look forward to watching you next year. Meadowgate looks absolutely beautiful, as everyone has said where is the book, the DVD etc.

  8. I absaloutely loved this Christmas series, my only gripe it was too short! I think there is a bit of Kirsty in all of us wanting to create beautiful things for our homes using traditional methods. I am really looking forward to making a huge mess with the children tomorrow trying to make our salt dough Chirstmas decs and like Kirsty will hang them with great pride! Let there be more like this series, Kirsty brings a natural, comedic, back to basics approach to life which we love and long, long may it continue!

  14. I nearly woke the kids when I shrieked with delight as I saw the commercial for a NEW series of Kirstie's fabulous show! If you got into my head and rummaged around for the perfect TV series... it still wouldn't be as great as THIS show! Hooray for Channel 4! Only suggestion: bring out books/DVDs etc... I want it all!

  16. I live in New Zealand and have watched this programme avidly. Loved every minute of it. I hope that it continues forever! I am a person who believes in crafts and that they should be in the home. I knit, I crochet, I quilt, I cook, I garden. All of these things help me in my home. Keep up the good work Kirsty.

  18. I am an arts and crafts lecturer and practitioner, I believe that the process of making covers an inherent need in all of us. Many of my students come to arts classes as a means of diversion due to other life issues such as serious illness, bereavement and divorce. Being an observer of individuals discovering their own creativity is a privilege. Well done Kirsty for making the mainstream connect with a basic human need. One of my students, a MacMillan nurse said her two hours a week of art made her more able to cope with the daily challenges of her job. Here's to Kirsty and hoping the book is soon published.

  25. I loved this series!! Kirstie has inspired me to take up knitting again and make my own candles! Although some of the items she purchased at auction or salvage yards were still out of my league price wise, the thought behind the programme was wonderful and inspiring, and I have made changes to my home. A cheery programme from start to finish! More please C4!

  29. Just discovered the programme (fabulous) - saw the cupcake icing one and want to find somewhere to learn about icing and glittery flower making in Suffolk. So far no luck on the internet. Does anyone know where I can do this? Does the cakemaker run that sort of course?

  30. As someone with the twin love of beautiful homes and recycling I have totally loved this programme. It has really inspired me to keep on scouring my way through charity shops and street markets, and to check out the next skip I see! I only wish I could offer my home for Kirstie's magic touch but alas we have just done a load of home improvements and I fear she needs a more stimulating project. Thursday nights will not be the same again - can't wait for the next installment :-)

  32. Thank you so much for this brilliant programme! I absolutely loved it. My craft is sewing and quilting and I was so pleased that it was part of this program. So much marketing and advertising is thrown at us everyday persuading us to buy new things that it's sometimes difficult to remember that old doesn't have to mean ugly or bad or useless! Thank you Kirstie! What an experience you had trying all those crafts! I'm very jealous!

  33. Absolutely wonderful show! It is so wonderful finding other people who share the same passions. I've been collecting vintage fabrics, linen an lace for years. I'm now changing them into new items, such as cushions, pictures, hearts, etc. We've recently renovated 2 old barns, and breathing new life back into them has been terrific. We now have a shop/studio for me to indulge myself in everything that I love. Fixing up, painting old furniture, making rag rugs.etc. And my new surrounding are so peaceful. Can't wait for your next show Kirstie.

  34. Love every second of this programme. I'm a city slicker and a mum and have spent years slightly shy about my crafty/interior interests. Having been taught lots of skills as a child I struggled to turn them in to practical ideas for my home and Kirsty has given me inspiration. Recycling is so much more interesting than a trip to Laura Ashley. Well done Kirsty...your joy and originality is infectious. Back to the day job now...might have a peek on ebay!

  40. So inspired by Kirstie's Home Made Home show, just great to see the whole home really taking shape. All the recycling and new ideas I have learnt as well as skills I'd like to try. Sometimes just revamping is all that is needed and this really doesn't have to cost a fortune, just moving your furniture to a different room can make your home feel and appear newly decorated. Well Done one the great programme

I thought the programme was great, finally something worth watching! the programme was very inspiring, i now have a beautiful bathroom full of old bottles with coloured bubble bath and it looks great and hardly cost anything as all sourced from boot sales and on-line auction! Keep up the good work Kirsty and look forward to the next series... really enjoyable.

  42. what I love about Kirsties original, inpsiring approach to interior design is that the rooms just look so calming, interesting and unique. Like Kirstie, I have not single new item of furniture in my house and have many handcrafted items, however as we plan our move to Shetland to renovate an old croft where we intend to settle, her programme's inspired me all over again - LOVE YOUR SHOW !!!

  44. I'm so sorry, NickyLynn to hear that you lost your job last Friday. But like you, I find great comfort in watching Kirsty lovingly (and sympathetically) renovate Meadow Gate on Thursday evenings. She is such fun and her ideas are a real joy to watch. She is inspiring my partner and I renovate our own home, at a fraction of the cost that we were anticipating. Like on Harry Enfield, I end up being seduced in shops called "I Saw You Coming!" and end up spending way over the odds! We have already visited Will Shakspeare Glass in Taunton and ordered some hand blown blue glass - unbelievably pretty. I hope she continues to inspire you - concentrating on creating pretty things - instead of focusing on sad ones. Well done Kirsty and Channel 4 for sending a gloomy recession scampering!

  45. I watched Kirsty last week learning to knit. It really inspired me, and I finally asked my mum (an avid knitter for over 50 years) to show me how. After a couple of false starts I have tought myself to cast on - and have bought loads of wool from a charity shop and am well on my way to completing my boyfriends (very basic!) Arran scarf. I lost my job last Friday - and the knitting has really helped me keep busy So thank you Kirsty Nicky
