I watched Big Town Plan on TV and really enjoyed it. Last year, on the way home from Nottingham, I called in at Castleford and looked at the bridge. A superb structure - well done. Can you tell me the story of the barge wrecked on the wear? I guess it was swept down on flood water but when? (I'm glad it was decided to leave it as a historic "feature" - the photo I took of it is currently my computer desktop wallpaper. Best wishes, David.
