1. hi me and two friends went out on our sea kayaks yesterday the houseboat is still there,although the windows have been vandalised,most are smashed,a real shame really its a fantastic design,well built and eco friendly southend council are nuts saying they cant live on it because someone else left some live shells on a beach 2 miles away.i guess that,l be the military,they are always losing things.so until then they have to live in a house in london adding nicely to global warming. ok im,e off to turn my house central heating up to full blast,,until the councils change their policy on such projects as this,i suggest every one does the same are you listening southend council,,mmm,,i thought not

2. i think think program didn't do this project justice. i think it is creative, unique and inspirational to all those looking for something more!! plus, where are the final images!! disappointed that you didn't see the finalised boat and the place they have settled!!!

3. hey , this house boat is apperently ababnoned in the the estuary oppostiote westcliff on sea now ? i live in leigh-on -sea and i was going to swim out toit the other day , its seema a real shame that all their hard work was wasted ?

A big thumbs up to Chris and Sze for going for it-by being focussed on getting the home built and not listening to critics who are not so open minded they will achieve a home beyond their wildest dreams. This building approach will produce completely unique results which conventional methods rarely achieve, and I am sure the family will be staggered at the final results when the stress is over. I am by the way speaking from personal experience having also built a fantastic home from about 95% recycled materials. I wish them the best of luck in what I think is the best grand designs project yet, and hope they are able to build in most of the eco features they originally wanted that are so important. I look forward to seeing the sequel to this episode. A big well done so far!
