'I've always felt that this build was very complicated. Mike and Lizzie commissioned a building of parts, inspired by far-flung places, and the danger was that it wouldn't be one coherent house. However, it's been more successful than I'd thought possible.'
'It's colourful, yet tasteful, and it will look right for its environment once they've had time to landscape properly. The glass walkways are hugely successful - they work like a bridge and look wonderful from inside and out'.
'I have to say I have rarely visited a house so beautifully finished. Mike has created an interior that's not only beautiful but extremely high-tech. The central computer, which runs all the lights and audio-visual systems, means that the wonderful wood and plain white walls are largely free of cables, wire and other modern messiness. And the wood, with its mellow stain, feels like it's always been here. Mike's attention to detail has really paid off'.
