1. Would have to agree with the first comment. I think this show would be a warning to prospective home buyers to avoid the architect and builder as they seem to have taken great liberty with this poor lady's money. And the conservatory builder was not one to recommend either.

2. We saw a re-run of this episode a couple of days ago. We felt extremely sorry for the lady - the architect went out to build a house that suited themselves - not a lady in her 80's. The fact that it went so far over budget showed that the architect could design the house, but had no idea of how to build it within budget. Pat was a very nice lady, we certainly hope that she enjoys the house - we got the impression she was being very polite, not publicly criticising the architect, who really should have been flayed - alive!
