

'Originally, I felt Doug and Deni had got carried away with romance of restoring a house in France. The place was a wreck, the couple could barely speak French and they could as easily spend £140,000 or £240,000 to make it habitable'.
'But, boy, are they hard workers. I was blown away by their dogged optimism, can do attitude, and the sensitive and caring way they have put their heart and soul into building, and in doing so have given the village back a part of its history'.
'Ultimately, I have learned from Doug and Deni that buying abroad is not about filling in forms or learning to speak language fluently, it's about waking up every morning and reminding yourself what it was that inspired you in the first place'.
