Black Clauchrie House: An Update

Since Ruth visited Black Clauchrie House, the owners have now completed the renovations and have even added two ensuites. They aren't stopping at that though. The decor of the house is being renewed this winter and by Spring 2011 there may even be a swimming pool! Work is also still ongoing on the walled garden with the help from volunteers from around the area.

The house now opens its doors as a successful hotel, and caters for weddings, dinner parties and even hog roasts. Other events they have staged so far include clay pigeon shoots, photographic holidays and highland pipers. The future definitely looks good for this South Ayreshire country house.
