Monty, meanwhile, is in the vineyard mixing up something stinky. Unfortunately for him, but in a perfect strike of comedic timing, the athletic local mayor jogs up just as Monty is elbow-deep in cow manure. Suffice to say that no handshakes are exchanged.
Monty: ‘Oh dear, I did feel a bit of a plonker, covered in shit. So I hope he’s not going to think I’m a complete nutter.’
