Monty last saw the vineyard at the end of summer. It’s now mid-winter and finally he’s got the keys. But it’s not long before the reality of his ambitious adventure hits home. As Monty puts it, ‘When I came here in September to select the vineyard obviously the weather was much calmer. It was very still, very tranquil, very peaceful. You had these fantastic views that you’re seduced by. Now that I’m up here in the depths of winter it’s f****** freezing.'
