Before Monty commits to the vineyard and signs his life away, he has to head back to London. If he’s to sell his wine, he has to convince the giants of the wine trade his biodynamic project is not half-baked.
Meet Bill Baker, top restaurant wine buyer and huge sceptic. ‘Organic wine is still, for the most part, a bit of a con. Why? Because people are making organic wine for the sake of it being organic, not for the sake of it being good wine,’ he stresses.
Perhaps Bill will be receptive to Monty’s plan of making wine with the lunar rhythms.
