2. Hi Guys, great new series. I am always confused though. I have been looking into moving to LA for a while as I work in the TV/Film Industry. But it seems I hit a brick wall every time I look into it. I know about setting up a business etc but how is it possible??? Thanks.

3. Hi I only caught 2 epasodes of Home or USA.Wanted to know if you are going to do more on USA especialy Florida and the Gulf Coast it was really interesting and would love to find out more especialy with the so called property crash there.

5. William, I don't agree that being within easy-reach makes it appropriate to merge areas. Downtown L.A. is very different from Santa Ana - which is in itself different to places in south OC. The perception of distance and difference in the U.S. is as big as its scale, so doesn't - in my opinion - make comparison to Windsor and the City of London an appropriate one. I suspect that 'merging' areas is a tool of convenience for viewer identification, but Orange County is as uniquely different from Los Angeles as Cornwall is from Bristol. I'm well-aware of the distances involved; I drive them regularly.

7. Thanks for all you're comments. I'm the programme maker and I'm pleased to see you like the start of the news series. I always like to address any issues that come up in blogs, which I hope helps answer some of your questions. In terms of how you can live in the states, it is possible to move there as you will see later in the series. However you must have money to invest, or be willing to buy or set up a business there. In terms of Rachel as some of you may have guessed from Rachel's accent, she is American, hence there are no visa issues. The other question relates to the proximity for LA to Orange County. There is 36 miles between Downtown LA and Santa Ana, the centre of the OC. Given America's scale we think this is certainly within easy reach of LA - a 40 minute commute by car. We decided this was close enough to talk about the whole area as one. As a comparison taking into account the larger size of the, it's roughly equal to a commute from Windsor to the City of London. I hope you keep on watching. Norfolk versus Las Vegas this week is even better and the house prices will shock you.

8. Must agree with Stig's point, it doesn't appear as if the programme mentioned the moving issue as it relates to US immigration law. He's right that you can't just move to the US because you like the idea of it. Most of us normal, hard-working folks have to do everything by the letter of the law. Having said that, immigration rules here do make some concessions to so-called personalities, performers, and the like from other countries. I didn't think that this guy was that big-time, though... Stig's question stands.

10. South Orange County ain't L.A. me 'andsomes! I should know, I'm one of a couple of Cornishmen living in the area. Gotta be nuts to prefer a terraced house in the 'Ol Smoke to a home in these sunnier/warmer climes. I'd understand if he had a hard time choosing between good 'ol Kernow and Orange County, but The 'Ol Smoke...???! Maybe his missus 'll make him see sense!

11. It was never explained how 2 UK nationals could buy and live in Los Angeles. Don't they need a visa? You can't just show up and live in the USA. How were they able to do this?
