Nana and Tim Cartwright are looking for a retirement home, but they can't decide where to buy it. Their daughter Julia lives in Cardiff, so Tim is keen to find a home in Glamorgan, but Nana dreams of lying by a pool in the Eastern Algarve.
Nana moved to Wales from Denmark to marry Tim 40 years ago. They currently run a small farm, but Tim's work commitments mean he is often away. Their children no longer live with them, and Nana feels isolated. She wants to be part of a community, and feels their current home is too big for them.
Unfortunately, Tim was in Africa working for the United Nations when Jonnie and Jasmine were helping the couple with their search, so he enlisted family friend Gill to fight his corner.
