How To Clean Painted Furniture

Clean regularly or don't bother and claim it's shabby chic!

Every week: Dust the piece regularly with a damp or microfibre cloth.

Clean painted furniture with a mild solution of washing-up liquid and warm water, using a small brush if necessary to get into any carved mouldings etc.

Chipped paint: Sand back around the chip to get rid of any other loose flakes of paint, then repaint that area.
