Hardwearing and easy to clean, lino is the lazy housekeeper's friend.
Every day: Linoleum is a little fastidious - it's all natural you see, so slightly less impervious to spillages. You can still clean it using a mild (non-acidic) detergent and a well-wrung mop, but it will stain more easily, so wipe up any spills immediately.
Discoloured or tired-looking lino may need re-waxing - check the manufacturer's recommendations for stripping and reapplying the wax coating.
Marks can be removed with a fine nylon pad - look for them in supermarkets.
Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.
