You might be surprised how much cleaning your blinds can handle.
Every week: Blinds are generally a complicated tangle of cords and dowels and gubbins so save yourself the hassle of having to wash them with regular vacuuming.
Roller blinds: Try unrolling it and wiping it down with a soft damp cloth. Leave the blind unrolled until it is completely dry again. If you need something tougher, try a proprietary product.
Roman blinds can be washed, but be prepared for some fiddly unpicking. Unstring the blind and remove the dowels, which will probably be sewn in. If the blind has a different fabric in the lining, it will need to be dry cleaned in case the different fabrics react differently to washing. If the blind is all one fabric and that fabric is washable, wash as if for Curtains.
Always check manufacturer's instructions first. Always try a test patch first. If you are unsure as to whether the item you are cleaning is suitable for our instructions, take professional cleaning advice first.
