Usually the cheapest option, pressed steel doors can have a panel or boarded pattern and a white, tinted or woodgrain finish.
Expensive but suits older properties. Available as single or double.
These plastic doors can be moulded to look like a traditional panelled door. Low maintenance and more resistant to dents than steel.
Thicker and tougher than ABS for extra security. Low maintenance.
If your garage is small and you want to maximise its use by adding overhead storage, a roller door is the best option. The door is formed of linked slats that, when opened roll up directly under the front of the garage roof.
One of the more expensive options, sectional doors consist of hinged cross pieces in a range of styles and colours. The big advantage of this type of door is their insulation - up to 40mm. Ideal if you use your garage for hobbies or as a gym.
There's plenty of places to get hold of good garage doors, but here's three 4Homes favourites to get you started.
All types of door in one place and accessories including keyless entry pads.
