So, you've scoured the 4Homes shopping guides, picked yourself a new wardrobe/sofa/armchair and paid for it on the internet site. What happens if the company you bought it from goes bust? Well, if you've been sensible with a large purchase, you'll have bought anything worth over £100 with a credit card - that way, you can get your money back from your card's issuer, who will be jointly responsible. Paid by cheque, cash or debit card? Hard luck. By the way, we don't need to tell you, do we, that you should always pay off the full amount you owe on your credit card EVERY MONTH?
