your text hereSarah Beeny was waxing lyrical in the Sunday papers this weekend about how, realistically, if you want to sell your house in the current climate and you're having no luck, you have no choice but to drop the price. As winter - and particularly Christmas - approaches, fewer and fewer buyers are generally on the market, which means that this year, there will be doubtless fewer still. So, if you've had your house on the market but are getting nowhere - particularly because it has presentation problems that are stopping you getting viewings or offers, our advice is to take it off the market now, spend the autumn, Christmas and first month of 2009 fixing things. Then, when February comes and new year optimism with it, try again.
