  1. Have any of you had any experience with these new infrared heating tools for paint removal. I'm curious if they take longer to heat the paint than traditional heat guns. I've also heard mixed reviews about the use of chemical strippers, I thought they were exceedingly bad for your health. Any advice on this front? I'm a little bit overly cautious when it comes to fumes as my wife's asthma can be set off by the slightest thing, and she'll be home while I'm re-doing my downstairs window frames. Thanks!

  2. I have bought an old house and have stone steps going upstairs. I would like them carpetting but they are worn. A builder has suggested levelling with wood, but is there anything else I could do (myself?) such as concrete/cement/filler type of stuff? Thanks

  3. Hi, Could anyone advice on insulating ceramic paint? I am planning on painting the house (interior) and read about saving energy with insulating paints. Tried to do my research but still am unsure if it would be worth to invest on this. If so, do you know any reliable brands? Thanks :)
