  1. Great article on installing underfloor heating. We have underfloor heating in our conservatory and it is a great way of heating the room. Feels like it is a bit heavy on the energy use BUT we do get an even heat around the room and the absence of heaters and/or radiators makes the room look much better.

  2. Don't foget that heating with electricity is ridiculously expesive and CO2 intensive! Choose wet underfloor heating fed from a biomass boiler or a heat pump in a well insulated house.

  3. George I would have to say that you perhaps make it sound a little too easy. There can be quite a bit of as you go when removing installing and then replacing the flooring. I admit it is not a job that 'must be done by a professional' but it isn't that simple a task either. Your instructions were very concise though and those who attempt it I hope all goes as planned.

  4. George, We watch your show religiously, makes us very jealous that we don't live in the UK at the moment. We would love to return to the UK, buy a house, spray it white (genius) and turn into a fantastic home. Probably have to live with the outlaws whilst it's being done, small price to pay for a big gain. Without having to watch your TV shows later, are you intending to write another book? About The Home Show? Count me in of you are. Cheers

  5. Please ! - less programmes on (ex-City) "squillionaires" indulging their fragile egos in unreal, opulent, fantasy architecture. In contrast, this week's GD on the eco-tyre house in France was inspirational - providing housing & recycling waste in one smart, inspired project. Give the guy (Daren ?) a series of his own on eco builds. We need smart, upliftng solutions to ecological and social/housing issues - not more over-priviledged showcasing ! More of this week's focus please. All the best
