1. With stripping Oak panels in a room 42ft 33ft with a dark stain varnish on them, what is the best and cost effective way to remove varnish and clean wood after ready for a lighter colour varnish to be applied after. also Painting ceilings with traditional lime base can this be preparerd in the normal way filling cracks with polyfiller then use the paint to cover lime based plaster for the finished coat,Could you give me good suppliers & brands of paint for the lime plaster ceilings Regards Matthew

2. I have a bad case of damp in my walk in walldrobe, there is a vent in there, I have tried cleaning the walls with bleech every so often, and aloud all windows to be open upstairs to allow a draft, but none of this is working, how can I prevent this? thank you

3. My stairs paintwork is badly chipped back to brown paint must have been applied years before we moved in not a smooth surface whats the best way to tackle this job just sand and undercoat and gloss or one coat perhaps thanks
