The seemingly humble coffee table can actually make a definitive style statement in your living room.
Take a look at our pick of the best coffee tables around.

It may not be the most expensive of your big-ticket purchases, but a coffee table can make (or break) the look of your living room, so take time to pick the right one.
I'm a big fan of glass-topped coffee tables as they have a fabulous retro feel and can still fit into more traditional rooms. Tables made entirely out of glass or acrylic will of course make your room look spacious - important if you're working with a tight space.
Coffee tables can work much harder than you think. Some double up as storage with concealed drawers, while others come with extendable leaves for extra surface space. I've just designed a coffee table for the latest series of Honey I Ruined The House, which incorporates two pull-out stools to create more seating when required.
Try not to clutter up the top of your coffee table as it will make your lounge look untidy. Stick to a few key pieces - a nice bowl, a coffee table book or two and a couple of magazines. You want to leave plenty of room to set down your gorgeous coffee pot and cups!
