No Fuss Log Maker
Turning old newspapers - and any other burnable waste - into long-burning logs is not only eco friendly but money saving. Unlike some methods, this one requires no wetting and drying. The logs, which are made in minutes, can be used immediately. And the makers suggest it is fun for all the family. You can get your hands on an eco log maker from the World Wildlife Fund for £29.95.

These mean you need use no more detergent or fabric conditioner in your washing machine, and, as well, you can help save water because no second rinse cycle is needed. A pack of three will last for 1000 washes. They contain pellets which, say the manufacturers, produce ionised oxygen. They also soften the water so no conditioner needed, and minimise colour fading. These ingenious balls are available at The Green Shop for £34.99.
