Britain has become a nation of coffee lovers. If your one of these people and your just crazy about coffee then why not check out our top five coffee makers...
Jargon Busting
Pressure: To get an authentic espresso, the water must be forced through the coffee at high pressure - anything from 15 to 19 bar is considered proper.
Pump: All of our machines are pumped - meaning that water is heated to the correct espresso-friendly temperature then pumped through the coffee. Inferior models blast the coffee with steam, which is too hot and results in a bitter-tasting drink.
Pods: In our time-hungry times, coffee pods make life a bit easier - like teabags for coffee, they save on fiddling about measuring and cleaning up grounds.
Water tank: You don't need a lot of water to make a few espressos or even to steam milk, but if you're using the machine a lot a larger tank will need refilling less often.
Bean to cup: If your bank manager is the understanding type, a bean-to-cup machine can grind beans and then use this to brew perfectly fresh coffee. It's not actually law to grind your own beans - if you're not too posh to buy ground coffee, keep it refrigerated, airtight, and use it soon after opening the pack.
