What's so great about it?
If you’ve ever wanted to get up close and personal with your cooker, then this is the model for you. Its unique (left or right) side-opening door swings right back, so it doesn’t protrude into the room, and you can step a little nearer to what’s cooking. Once you get there, there’s a lot to love, too. It has a programmable electronic timer with pre-programmed temperature control – so you can get it to remember how you like to cook your fish fingers – as well as streamlined touch controls, clever shelves that support your dish even when you extend them right out, a rotisserie and top and bottom heat for crisp quiches.
The science: H59.4cm x W59.5cm x D54.5cm; 58ltr capacity; 5 cooking functions, B energy rating, stainless steel finish.
In other words: Handy for hands-on cooks.

KOMP 6610 Multi-Flow oven by Kitchenaid
What's so great about it?
You know how in old films about the future, there was always a machine that produced any dish on demand? Well, this oven will not actually buy and prepare food for you, but it is the closest you’re going to get. The range of cooking functions is mind boggling – from traditional ones like conventional and grill cooking, to special ones like dehydration and yoghurt preparation and to professional functions like focaccia, pastry and roast beef. The door has four layers of glass, so it stays cool, there’s a child lock on the controls and it’s pyrolytic, so it cleans itself, too. In fact, it’s tricky to find anything this oven CAN’T do.
The science: H59.5 cm x W59.5cm x D56.7cm; 52ltr capacity; 16 professional, 10 special, 5 traditional cooking functions, A energy rating, stainless steel finish.
In other words: Twelve hundred pounds may seem pricey, but for an oven this clever, you should be required to pay it a wage.

What's so great about it?
This is a clever little idea isn’t it? It’s a single oven that can become a double oven with the cunning introduction of a strategically placed, heat protective shelf. Extremely useful for those times you want to cook two dishes at different temperatures (eg roast meat with meringue for pud) or for when you really don’t want odours to mingle (eg cup cakes a la baked fish). And it takes up much less room than most double ovens, too. It also has an LED display, a programmable timer, steam-cleaning function, and child lock.
The science: H59.5cm W59.5cm x D57.2cm; 65ltr capacity; 4 cooking functions; A energy rating; stainless steel finish.
In other words: If you didn’t think you had space for two ovens, this may be your lucky day.
