New Houses
House developers are also climbing on board, with the Government insisting that all new homes built in England must be carbon neutral by 2016. New properties will have to be built using sustainable materials and have improved energy efficiency, emitting no carbon dioxide from all the energy used in the house. As an incentive to developers, carbon zero houses are exempt from stamp duty.
