Can't find fabric you want in the shops? Then be creative and create your own!

Skill level: As long as you're prepared to experiment, you can do this if you're a beginner.

Cost: Funky foam about 80p a sheet; scrap wood, free if you have some at home already, otherwise, just £2 or so from a local wood yard.

You'll need: Wood; paper; scissors; pencil; ruler; hot glue gun; oil-based varnish; funky foam (from craft shops and suppliers) or an old exercise mat!
