We now take a look at three more young designers, Paula Dib, Louise Jones and Charlie Collinge...

Brazilian born-designer Paula Dib was awarded her own exhibition space at 100% design after winning the British Council's Young International Design Entrepreneur of the Year award, 2006. Paula is another ethically minded designer who works with rural communities in Brazil to produce low-cost, but beautifully made products that contribute to their fragile infrastructures.
Paula showcased a sample of these products, made through her company trans.forma design, at 100% Design, as well as some of her own products designed with Emile Badran.

Following studies in furniture and product design at Nottingham Trent University and numerous accolades at the New Designers exhibition 2006, Louise Jones landed herself a job at a UK design agency but she continues to pursue her own projects. Nature is the inspiration for many of her products including her award-winning Branch bookcase and the Forest folding screen, but her most intriguing product so far has to be her equine-inspired clotheshorse. Very Stella McCartney. No longer will you be embarrassed to display your smalls…unless they're really awful, that is.

Charlie Collinge's Windsor Table
This young designer prides himself on producing 'simple, honest furniture' and there is definitely a humble elegance to his work, which has to be admired. At 100% Charlie showed off a range of beautifully-made products with thoughtful additions. This includes his Leaning Shelves, designed to stop books from falling on their sides and the Windsor Table with a handy shelf underneath the table-top for magazines and stuff that'll get in the way of a good spread.
It can be made of bamboo ply board, so it has good green credentials and its yellow Formica top is just lickable.
