The open plan kitchen is the one place where you can indulge in free-standing furniture without having to worry about whether it will fit. The upside? If you keep your plumbing and main electrics and gas supply to the side walls, your kitchen island can become a moveable feast - handy if you have a party or want to upgrade or add to it in the future.

I am absolutely gobsmacked when I see how George completely transforms hovels into homes. I love minimalist designs and he has an incredible knack for turning old fashioned homes into modern retreats. I was disappointed when I watched the Coopers today with their reaction to the unfinished ensuite. He has provided them with a dream home and somewhere they can be proud to bring their friends to. When I see how much things cost, it shocks me and home projects always cost more than we budget for. On that note, I think George did a wonderful job. Well done to him. He's a genious.

I realy would like to express how impressed i have been with Georges passion, commitment and style of design. I would really like him to come and redesign my house. I live in kent and would really be interested to hear from you on this issue. thank you

We love your show and love George. I have cried myself just watching him turn a place from ordinary into something spectacular.Just amazing and so talented. George, can you come to Queensland, Australia and do a makeover for us - no not kidding - would be a dream come true. Just love everything you do. Your show would be so successful here and put us on your list. It would be an honour to meet you. Pam McLennan
