Assuming you've kitted out your L-shaped kitchen with enough storage, there's no reason why you shouldn't be brave and opt for units with some colour in them - they will help add lots of character to the space. Our advice? Keep colour to the base units and choose a more muted tone, white or cream for the wall-hung units, making sure that they are from the same range. This will again stop your kitchen feeling top-heavy and crowded.
