Over 70% of homes have a stainless steel sink and it’s easy to see why. Steel is extremely hygienic for both food preparation and washing-up; it’s durable, hardwearing and recyclable so it’s good for the environment, too. Good quality steel is also heatproof and it will add a professional look to your kitchen. Look for 18/10 graded steel as this contains 18% chromium and 10% nickel to make it rust proof. A polished finish will show up scratches more easily than a brushed, satin or textured version.
