The Chinese view these plants as bringers of money. They are really easy to care for and nice to place in an office space to introduce a feeling of prosperity. You only need to water them every month, and between October and March you can leave the soil to dry out completely. Keep in a fairly bright spot, and bury a small silver coin in the soil to bring you luck in money for 2009!
