Height x Spread: 2.5m x 1m
Prefers: Full sun; moist but well-drained soil of any type; all aspects; exposed or sheltered spot.
Stipa gigantea is a robust tufted evergreen grass, with arching linear green leaves and large oat-like purplish flowers which ripen to gold in summer and autumn. Remove dead foliage and old flowered stems in spring.
