Prefers: Full sun; well-drained soil of any type; east, west or south-facing; sheltered spot.
Euphorbia characias subsp. wulfenii is an erect, sparsely-branched medium-sized sub-shrub with oblong, grey-green leaves and large, rounded heads of greenish-yellow flowers. Cut back flowering shoots to ground level in late summer or autumn, but beware of sap, which may irritate skin and eyes.
