Prefers: Full sun; well-drained soil of any type; east, west or south-facing; sheltered spot.
Lavandula dentata 'Royal Crown' is a compact, rather tender evergreen shrub to 60cm in height, with narrow, dark green leaves and long-stalked spikes of small purple flowers topped by pale purple bracts.
