Prefers: Part or dappled shade or full sun; well-drained soil of any type; east, west or south facing; exposed or sheltered spot.
Echinacea purpurea is an upright perennial with coarsely hairy, lance-shaped leaves and daisy-like flower-heads to 12cm across with light purple rays and a brown central disk. Attracts butterflies and bees.
