Create a tropical scheme by plunging some exotic looking foliage into your beds. Alternatively, you can bring out your frost tender house plants and group them in the garden to create a fresh look – they will appreciate a summer holiday as much as you do, but they need protecting from too much direct sunlight. This is also the best time of year to plant a new hedge and trees (especially fruit trees) but remember to keep them well watered.
