10. Create A Water Feature
10. Create A Water Feature (Image 10 of 11)
A dry summer can mean scarce water resources for wildlife - by making your garden a source of water you can attract plenty of welcome visitors and help control pests. Water features can vary from a pond to a simple fountain like this one. For a homemade mini pond, take a watertight container such as a hole free large flower pot, bury it in the ground, fill with water, add a small fountain water pump, and then cover with wire netting and surround with a variety of attractive stones and pebbles. It doesn’t take up much space and looks fantastic on a summer day.
