'There are two views from my kitchen window in the Georgian house of Hedingham Castle. One is a magnificent view to the Norman keep. The other is a south-facing vista down to the lake, created from three Norman fish ponds by the landscape designer Adam Holt in 1720. We live in an extraordinary place. It is beautiful, historic, and today - like so many days here - quite remarkable.
