3. Working as a garden designer in London I have many clients with seemingly impossible outside spaces. Trees that have outgrown their space are a particular problem. Removing a tree isnt always as major or expensive as it sounds - always check with your local authority about the rules for taking out a tree - often they will be quite flexible if you present them with an overall plan and are replacing with a smaller more suitable tree. There is a lovely tree called Prunus 'Amanogawa' which is a columnar flowering Japanese cherry - perfect for smaller spaces! This will give you many more option for other types of planting etc and creating a nicer entertainment space.

4. I agree with the below comment. I have a small, over looked garden. Its also sloped and has a tree in the corner sucking the life out of anything near. Its mainly grassed except the area under the tree which is a mix of mud/weeds/grass. I wld love to sit and enjoy the garden with friends but its completly impossible in its current state. If any one has any suggestions pls let me know. Thanks ;)

5. Hi My garden is a mess and an eyesore and I wanted to know if there were any competitions that I could enter for a garden makeover as I cannot afford to make it look half decent. It would be good for a programme if there were any?
