6. Anthurium

For bright, tropical, easy-care colour, go for an Anthurium. These always cause a stir – their waxy flowers look so touchable, but it’s best to admire them rather than stroke them if you want them to last! They come in a huge range of colours, from vibrant reds, through to girly pinks, to soft whites and greens. Some have two-tone coloured flowers, and others have miniature blooms – so whatever statement you want to make, you can make it with the perfect one for you. To care for your plant, water every week and place it near the shower where it can be enveloped by steam. Place somewhere bright but not too sunny - most bathrooms have a shaded or dappled window, which is fine if you want to place your plant on the sill.
